BUNKHOUSE HOSTEL
FIRE POLICY FOR GUESTS
This policy aims to maximise your safety in the event of a fire. You MUST follow the instructions in this policy for your own safety.
Failure to comply with this policy could put you needlessly at risk.
We have a FULL EVACUATION POLICY, this means;
In the event of a fire;
Sound the alarm at the closest CALL POINT (red box with a sign reading “FIRE ALARM”).
Leave the building at the closest EMERGENCY EXIT (Please see the Fire Evacuation Plan on the back of your dormitory door to know where your closest emergency exit is).
Report to the ASSEMBLY POINT at SPAR on St. Mary’s St. (this is opposite our main entrance door on the ground floor).
Call 999 and request Fire Service
A fire warden from the BunkHouse will meet you at the assembly point for a roll call and to await the fire brigade.
Things you should NOT do in the event of a fire;
Do NOT stay in the building. Leave immediately and do NOT go back for belongings.
Do NOT ignore the alarm.
Do NOT leave fire doors open. Ensure all doors are shut behind you.
Do NOT attempt to fight the fire.
If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our policy, please email us at info@bunkhouse-cardiff.com or come see us at check in.
Thank you for your cooperation
